Hi, I postedonce before on this, but nearly completed a sauna and just
needed some final help. I just wondered if anyone knows of a decent foil
tape, I read mixed reviews, some people say some of the tape may have
plastic in, which wont be good when heating the Sauna. Im repairing a
Sauna and using this tape below anyone had any issues with it or used it
or could recommend. Also is there many Sauna forums online, ive
struggled to find some. I found the one below but wont let me register.
Tape im using
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kindest regards

What exactly are you repairing? Even if the tape is pure aluminium, the adhesive layer is essentially plastic.diz79 said:...I just wondered if anyone knows of a decent foil tape, I read mixed reviews, some people say some of the tape may have plastic in, which wont be good when heating the Sauna. Just be aware that in technical terms ‘ plastic ‘ is a very general description of a wide range of materials. Many of which would have no problem surviving sauna temperatures, or a lot higher.1

I've been using quite a bit of this -> https://www.toolstation.com/aluminium-foil-tape/p97723 (available in different widths). It appears to be the same brand. I've seen it used to patch a hole in a Baxi Bermuda back boiler casing which gets pretty hot. I would imagine a sauna wouldn't get as hot, so should be fine.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

The Sauna roof, if you look at pics?0 -
Thanks for replies sorry for delay been mad busy. Yeah my main issue is whether I'd be enhaling nasty gases, I might just see what happens as its in the roof and heat rises, so unlikely will come back down through the Sauna maybe?
