Our 'False Advertising' Competition features a spoof vintage advert with the all-important brand/product name and slogan missing! It's up to YOU to come up with the best advert wording to make this a bestseller!

False Advertising Competition T&Cs

1. This competition is open to all Channel Island, UK and Isle of Man residents.
2. Entrants must be 12 years of age or older and entrants under the age of 16 must obtain permission from a parent/guardian before entering.
3. To enter the competition, you must submit your suggested slogan along with your name and an email address online at our website www.madeinjersey.je/false-advertising or by emailing competitions@madeinjersey.je. Alternatively, you may submit your suggested slogan by commenting on our social media posts or by post, along with your name and email address or telephone number to ‘False Advertising Competition’, Jersey Evening Post, Features Desk, PO Box 582, JE4 8XQ.
4. Up to five entries per person will be accepted.
5. Entries will be accepted until 11.59pm eight days after publication in the JEP.
6. There will be one winner per competition.
7. The winner will be chosen by Made in Jersey and approved by the JEP from all the valid entries received. The winner will be contacted and notified via the details provided during entry. The decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Made in Jersey will make three attempts to inform the winner as soon after the closing date as possible.
9. Made in Jersey will arrange delivery of the online gift voucher by email or delivery by post of the printed prize as soon as possible after publication of the winning entry in the JEP.
10. No purchase is necessary.
11. The prize will be a £15 online Made in Jersey gift voucher or a choice of printed product featuring the winning slogan, either t-shirt, tote bag, A4 print or mug.
12. The prize is as stated, is not transferable, cannot be changed or substituted for a cash prize.
13. Made in Jersey may request that the winner take part in publicity and Made in Jersey reserves the right to publish the winner’s name and winning slogan on the Made in Jersey website and social media profiles i.e. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
14. Made in Jersey reserves the right to make the winning design available for sale.
15. All participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions when entering this competition.
16. Made in Jersey reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. It also reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes will be posted on www.madeinjersey.je/false-advertising and such posting shall be adequate notice to all participants.
17. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently and Made in Jersey does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
18. These rules are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
