How to get a Santander Edge Saver without using the current account
I have opened a Santander Edge Saver account and cancelled all my Edge Current account DDs.
Can I pay £200 into my Edge CA and then transfer it to the Monthly Saver without triggering the monthly fee? if so, is there a work around for this, please/
Cancelling the DDs won't cancel the fee. Once the fee has been triggered once it'll continue every month whether the account has DDs on it or not. You either need to close it or change the account type to something else.
You don't need to tfr via the Current Account, pay directly into the Saver
I was trying to pay directly into my Edge Monthly Saver (max £200/pcm deposit) account from my non Santander account but I only have the 'R' number, how do I get around this?

Edge monthly saver? I take it you mean their Regular Saver account?
Sorry, I do not know what an"R" number is. The terms say that you can deposit money into this account using a Santander current account. Have you tried doing this?

It looks like you have a 5% Regular Saver rather than the 6% Edge Saver. The Edge Saver has it's own Account number, the Regular Saver has a Ref number.
