Club Lloyds Insurance

Has anyone used their club Lloyd’s benefit for travel insurance? We’re a basic customer just for Disney but looked at the pro’s and looked great instead of a lump sum.
Is it possible to drop down insurance after our trip?

Do you mean the Platinum account with a monthly fee of £22,50?
In theory your plan would work but if you do it repeatedly you may find your ''eligibility'' for the account vanishes - assuming you qualify for it now.
The account is all or nothing though you cannot have the travel insurance without the other parts such as AA and Mobile phone cover.0 -
Thanks. Yeah that’s what we was looking at. £22.50 instead of a £45 travel insurance for a week1

You state that you have a Basic account?
If so you won't get a Platinum account. They stopped selling stand alone travel policies a few years ago.0 -
They also state "for Disney", which doesn't come with a Basic account. They clearly have a basic (little b) Club Lloyds account, i.e. not Silver nor Platinum.retiredbanker1 said:You state that you have a Basic account?

Bear in mind that if you take the packaged insurance from Lloyds for the one month you won’t be covered if you have to cancel your trip between booking and travelling. I assume that the £45 insurance would cover that.iViewTV said:Thanks. Yeah that’s what we was looking at. £22.50 instead of a £45 travel insurance for a week1 -
Unless you are doing something really exotic, you should be able to find travel insurance for a lot less than £45
