Barclaycard with balance of 1250 with 5k limit. Balance will be paid off in the next few months as 0 percent is ending.this was a money transfer offer. I will likely keep this for holiday reasons

Hsbc card which has just been cleared with a balance transfer to tesco. 8k limit

M and s card not sure what the limit is and 0 balance as paid off card.

Once paid off I'd close the Barclaycard, as it's a low limit and you have the Halifax clarity.

I'd also close the HSBC, M&S and Tesco... And look for another card with a good offer

One consideration for the M&S card is that I believe you can get fee free foreign currency from M&S money. I don't know if you would use that facility. Definitely not Fx fee free purchases when abroad though.
Personally I would keep one Mastercard and one Visa. Then I would look for the ones with the best customer service for each of Mastercard and Visa. But that is me.

I didn’t think Barclaycard was good for travel?

We use a Nationwide Visa card and a Barclaycard. The Nationwide one is used abroad as there’s no currency conversion fee on transactions. The Barclaycard does the heavy lifting at home as it pays 0.5% cashback.

Lenders do not see the credit score and the age of account is debatable, vs having a well managed file with history of paying off credit cards in full every month (or paying the card on time for cards with the special promo rate)

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Barclaycard Reward is amongst the best in the market and better than Nationwide...

I'm a bit confused as OP says Tesco but it's not listed that I can see?! This can be used for Tesco travel money plus Clubcard points double up for things like Hotels.com.
