Euro carparks no response to appeal

Options
Sorry if this has been covered before but I’m very anxious about this and limited time to read through all the previous threads.

I received a ticket from euro carparks after I paid using an app but accidentally selected the wrong number plate (I have both mine and my husband’s plates registered with the app because I drive both cars). I appealed on their online form to say that I’d still paid so they weren’t out of pocket.

I hadn't heard anything back about the appeal and today I’ve got a final notification letter saying the fine has now gone up to £100.

There doesn’t seem to be any way of talking to anyone at euro carparks so I’ve sent another online form but the deadline is the 9th May.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

They have 35 days to respond to the initial appeal

The follow up letter is the reminder that the charge is £100  ( not £60  ) , its not gone up, it was always £100, the early settlement figure was £60,  which you didn't accept   ( because you appealed  )

If you appealed promptly then the case is on hold, pending the reply,  but do check your spam folders as well as your inbox for their response to the initial appeal
  • Unfortunately my junk folder automatically deletes emails after 30 days so although I can’t see any response from them in March, there’s a chance there could have been one before that (original notice was sent on 3rd Feb) and I wouldn’t know. I wasn’t checking as I assumed the response would come by post as the penalty notice did.

There’s nothing written to say that the case is on hold so I don’t want to take a chance because they could just deny having received an appeal as it only uses their own website form.

No where on any paperwork will it mention a "fine" or "penalty" it's a speculative invoice all dressed up to look scary with a scam appeal process that means diddly squat, a plumber doesn't send you a bill with an appeals route on it if you don't agree with it.
And you never ever try to phone these dimwits they won't talk sense or reason even if you could get through to them, it's all a greedy scam.

No penalty came in the post, just a Parking Charge Notice from ECP, the NTK PCN letter,  an invoice

The 35 days isn't up yet

Take a chance? What do you mean? They can't deny receiving the appeal. When did you put it in their system?

What you described sounds like a standard reminder.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
