Free 'Send reminder' option for website?

I'd try something like an "add-to-calendar" button so that the end-user's own calendar program reminds them.
Something like - AddToCalendar - free button for event page and email. Calendar widget to add event to calendar. Event RSVP. MailChimp compatible. Use CalendarX for Mac.1 -

While the group runs on the same day/week of each month, I'm aware that people can forget as it's not very regular. I'd really like to have something on the webiste that they can click that will then send them a reminder a few days before the next event. Does this kind of stuff exist for free anywhere please?
What is the website built with? Maybe the tool to send reminders is already there as an optional add-in.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Thank you. I did think that was probably going to be the only viable option. I was hoping they might be able to get a text reminder.Vitor said:I'd try something like an "add-to-calendar" button so that the end-user's own calendar program reminds them.

I have found something on a website called addevent which works well apart from if you want the button to add recurring events, you have to pay. If I embed my Google calendar onto the website, there's a link that says 'add to calendar' but to get that, I have to dispaly an entire month of the calendar which is unsightly. Does anyone know where I can get something that people can click on and it will just put the monthly dates into their calendar?0

That's for showing a Google calendar within the site, not sending people reminders. You will not know what calendar system users have. Search for webador email reminders. I immediately found a tool you can add, which is free in its most basic format and may do what you need.Hebrews12 said:I have found something on a website called addevent which works well apart from if you want the button to add recurring events, you have to pay. Why don’t you just get people to give you their email addresses, and you send out a group email as and when it suits you?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1
