BA stolen my Avios points !

I tried to pay for seat choice  with Avios points for flights to Hong Kong and return from Singapore . I did this 4/1/25 . Tried 3 times for 4 seats and it failed to finalise the transaction so paid by cash .

But they took out 277,800 Avios in error . I have repeatedly phoned them since then ( many hours ) and they always say it is their error and will be returned in 4 days . So far they have returned 5 of the 12 seats .

Is there any other way to make them listen to me and get my valuable Avios points returned ?

I'd suggest posting this on the BA forum on Flyertalk, some very knowledgeable people there. British Airways | The British Airways Club - FlyerTalk Forums

BA haven't stolen anything, and it's risky to throw such accusations around.  They have acknowledged that the problem is with their systems.  They haven't covered themselves in glory sorting it out, but that is very different to stealing.

I don't think he said they were stealing. Why do you think its risky ?

The word 'stolen' is in the thread title.  It's risky because if the OP can be identified they are open to court action for libel.

As bad as BA are at PR.... I'm not convinced they'd pursue a customer for libel when they can likely prove that the Avios went missing 3 months ago and are yet to be returned.
