Separated Parents - UC and Main Carer of Children

Hi All
Me and my partner have seperated but are staying in the same household for now, financial reasons
We both now have a separate UC Claim. We have 4 children and are all on my partners UC claim. So she recieves an allowance for 2 of the 4 children as per the rules.
We are amicable and are both giving 50/50 care for our children now and once i eventually move out.
Looking into the rules, with 50/50 care either of us are able to be the main carer of the children. And looking into other parents with this care agreement in place, in separate households we are both able to be considered the main carer. The agreement is that we will have 2 children each on our UC and CB statements.
This looks to be fine by what I can see.
My question is that is we are currently both in the same household, providing care equally. Are we able to add 2 children each to our current UC Claims?

Technically, you can. The question is only whether UC will suspect that you are not being entirely up front with them about your set up, and they may look into it further before accepting that the situation is really as you say.
There is also a residual power for UC to decide themselves who has the main responsibility for the children if they think that your choices do not reflect the actual arrangements in place.0
