use Simple Delivery to reduce turnover?

A bit advice on behalf of a friend who has a business account on Ebay where she is looking at ways to reduce turnover to keep under the VAT threshold .


She sells a lot of ites where the postage can amount to 20 - 25% of the items value and in doing so the turnover mounts up but the profits do not , last year she spent £5000 on postage.

If she was to use Ebays simple delivery service would this help keep the turnover down as the buyer from what I can gather pays the postage directly to ebay  or does it still have to be accounted for ?

Unfortunately SD isn’t available at all yet to business sellers.
