I have 10gb and my wife has 2gb. She never goes over her limit and uses social media and whatsapp multiple times daily. Bear in mind you will mostly (I presume) be on wifi at home and most places when out have free wifi to access as well. I use Waze mapping constantly, social media, banking apps etc and I rarely go over 3gb a month.
