Annual travel insurance

Hi. I have annual travel  insurance that runs from September each year. I always shop around for better deals each year. Question is. If I book a holiday now for october and then renew my annual travel insurance with a different provider does  that mean my new insurance won't cover my existing booking

Depends on the terms, most would but a condition you develop between now and September would be considered pre-existing for the new insurance so would depend on if they accept it at the point of purchase

Generally not a problem.  The current insurer will cover the risk until the current policy expires.  The new insurer will cover from the start date of the new policy.  You do need to confirm with the new insurer.
If you have a packaged bank account which includes travel insurance you should check with them first for cover.
