I was awarded PIP in 2023 untill August 2026 but the letter says from Dwp we will be in contact in August 2025 I take it this is to start the review process but not sure.
I am currently appealing the decision at the tribunal as feel I was given the wrong award. I am still waiting for the hearing and have no idea when it's going to be. If the review process is going to start in August 2025 what will happen about the hearing can some please help?
Thank you

Yes that's right. *From* August 2025 means at any point after that, just not earlier.pope said:I was awarded PIP in 2023 untill August 2026 but the letter says from Dwp we will be in contact in August 2025 I take it this is to start the review process but not sure.I am currently appealing the decision at the tribunal as feel I was given the wrong award. If you are still waiting for the tribunal hearing by then, the process will continue regardless of whether DWP have started your review. Even if you ended up with your next award by the time you get a hearing, they would still go ahead and consider the decision you're challenging based on the facts at the time of that decision.0 -
What if I end up with the same next award or higher will the tribunal still continue?Spoonie_Turtle said:

Yes, because in that circumstance it would be making a decision for this current award from when it started, up until the next award ends the current one.pope said:

Which, by the way, is the case regardless of when you go to tribunal - if you do get there before your PIP review, unless the tribunal decides your current award should be longer, the review date will stay the same.1
