Morning all, thanks for starting us off today @Gers. Good luck with your minor surgery.
Yesterday's weather wasn't as bad as forecast, it didn't rain and the sun even made a brief appearance in the afternoon. The rain arrived overnight so now it's damp out, looking grey, the wind is picking up and there's a chance of random showers.
The combi boiler has a clean bill of health for another year and the engineer has turned down the water flow temperature for me. It wasn't set massively high but it was a bit higher than need be. Meter readings are due this weekend and I'm hoping to see a much reduced bill for the past month, given the heating hasn't been on as much, thanks to the fine weather we've been having. After the engineer left I went out for a bit of shopping and a walk; once home I put back the pantry contents so order is restored and it's much tidier - for now.
The only thing I really need to do today is to make some bread and then I'll make a start on the decorating prep by removing all the pictures, ornaments first so I'll have a clear run at sanding woodwork, washing down walls etc although it will all be done at my pace - which is slow!
No other news so I'll wish everyone a good day, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all, just. We survived the DGC 😂 ! We had a great time with lots of laughter, we watched films and played board games, although I think someone was cheating !
I was out early this morning to collect our prescriptions and take them to the pharmacy. One item was omitted from my script so I have to ring the surgery this afternoon to put it right. The pharmacy also owes Mr Fix It some tablets so we'll collect them tomorrow, there's always some sort of problem with our meds lately. I called in the meat van on the way home and spent rather a lot too.
Later I'll start putting the spare bedroom back to normal and I also have to find room for about 20 hardback books that DD gave me from her book business that were surplus to requirement.
Gers hope the appointment goes well today.
Hugs to the poorly ones

Good afternoon
A brighter day here today but quite windy.Shoulder is getting better but think I jarred it yesterday as sore today. Been contacting the Dr since last Thursday to try and get a note for work. Got told I need a telephone appointment so tried Monday and was told to try today. The receptionist didn’t listen when I said I have to speak to the Dr do not holding my breath that one will be issued.
Have managed to do some planting of seeds with my left arm so hopefully they will grow.
DS2 cooked dinner last night which was very tasty - roasted cauliflower steaks, roasted chicken breasts along with garlic mushrooms, mash and tenderstem broccoli.
Gers hope your procedure goes well.
Redruby - Rob seems to be thriving since he has moved.
hope everyone has a good day. Take care.10
