Received a letter of claim

Hi. I received a penalty notice back in August 2024 and have been ignoring all the letters, like I have in the past, but they haven’t gone away. Now I have received a letter of claim but that was nearly 2 months ago and I’m worried that this is going to go bad. The ticket was for parking in a disabled bay and failing to display a blue badge. I am disabled with multiple problems and the parking site( the fort shopping centre, Birmingham) doesn’t charge for parking. I could really use some guidance for what to do next. Many thanks

I doubt that you received a Penalty Notice,  more likely to be a Parking Charge Notice from a private parking company,  so which parking company   ?

Which company issued the Letter of Claim   ?

Study the advice in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

Email the LoC response template to the legal company
  • Hi Gr1pr, thanks for your reply. The ticket was issued by parking control management ltd and Moorside legal are the solicitors handling the case. Forgive my stupidity but I can’t seem to find the sticky thread you mention. Could you post a link to it please, many thanks.
