Car park fine for a vehicle that I thought had been written off and scrapped by my insurance

Do I have a leg to stand on ?
Park maven fine for a car that was scrapped via no fault accident in April 2024.
Dlva ownership wasn't transfered as I was unaware of correct procedure and took incorrect advice from family, insurance that collected car took the entire form.
I've also unintentionally paid for this person's road tax for the year, due to stresses going on in my life alot was missed and it's all only been brought to light when I've received car park fines that happened this year in march.
Car was obviously not scrapped and redone and sold on, I've already sent evidence to the carpark that I was not the owner of this car and evidence insurance stating as such, I've also now updated dlva that I am not the registered owner, but because this was done after the car park fine was issued park maven saying iam still liable, so is this correct even though it wasn't me ?
Should I just be paying it ? need it sorted asap as about to undergo double jaw surgery so don't fancy being dragged into court or baliffs at the door, even if I'm half way across the country to where this carpark fine was issued.

What does the latest letter say ? No personal information, but post a redacted picture
Parkmaven dont issue fines, just invoices from a private parking company
Definitely do not pay
No bailiffs will be coming round ( urban myth )
Any court hearing would be in your local civil court, although any court claim would likely be discontinued, especially due to the facts you outlined
Keep your evidence safe
Use the BPA AOS members complaints link to complain about it to Parkmaven, with a copy of the proof of what the dvla stated1 -

They haven't.
They've asked for more evidence. Show them more. You aren't bound by the examples they're wittering on about!
The evidence of the no fault accident and an email from the insurer confirming the date they collected the vehicle would be good.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, those are loaded questions designed to entrap.
But the problem is that they'll just shout "but you were the keeper", whatever you say.
Unless you provide a name and address of the driver, they won't go away (or at least until they've gone through DCBL letters).
I would provide them with the insurance claim docs and declare the driver as "A. Employee, Acme Insurance Ltd, Address".
Say your liability is now revoked under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2021 Schedule 4 2.1 (b) "of the case of the driver, an address at which the driver for the time being resides or can conveniently be contacted", and; "driver" includes, where more than one person is engaged in the driving of the vehicle, any person so engaged."
Then you've covered yourself and are ready for any unlikely court claim in the future.

Tell them you will report them to the DVLA if they fail to cancel the PCN.
Tell them it's time to stop playing games and you will also involve your MP and ask him/her to raise this case in the upcoming debate on 6th May:
