Linksys Velop WHW0303 - still not reaching around the house!

After suffering with FTTC for 8 years we finally got SWISH broadband FTTP a couple of years ago and were obviously ecstatic. However, although the signal arriving at the router is great, the Wifi reach around the house is shocking. So I bought the Linksys Velop WHW030 at the end of 2023 to help push the signal around. 18 months later it's still shocking. We have cables where possible (via a switch in the loft) so I'm seeking advice on a suitable survey app to determine where exactly the blackspots are, and whether installing some wired WAPs might be the logical next step.

This might be a property problem if you've bought something like that and it still doesn't work.

What is the construction of your walls for example?    In theory, Wi-Fi signals are capable of passing through walls and other obstacles relatively easily. However, in reality, some walls are thicker or use reinforced concrete and may block some of the signals. Materials such as drywall, plywood, other kinds of wood and glass can be easily penetrated by wireless signals. However, materials such as brick, plaster, cement, metal, stone, and double-glazed glass may cause problems.

I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer&hl=en_GB on my phone for Wi-Fi checking.

How many Linksys Velops do you have in your mesh setup? Ideally they should be placed where they can communicate with each other with a strong signal and then pass this on to your devices. You may find that you need to add a further Velop to your existing mesh. 

As mentioned above, your house construction can have a significant impact on signal strength. Check this using a WiFi analysis app on your phone and wander around the rooms to identify areas of poor reception.
