Hi,
I hope you can advise. I returned item to Nike. The label was provided by Nike. Royal Mail message shows it has been delivered however Nike says it has not been scanned as incoming item.

They are telling me to report to Royal Mail. I am correct in saying as the label was provided by Nike they are the one who should report to Royal Mail or me.
What else I can do. The item was for £175 and purchased via debit card.
Thanks

Yes, you're correct. However, if you reporting it to RM triggers a refund, is it worth digging in on the principle that Nike should be doing so?
If reporting it to RM doesn't trigger a refund, consider sending a letter before action, threatening court action?0 -
I can put a claim but it’s possible Royal Mail may reject it because RM contract is with Nike
not me.Also will should I put a dispute with the bank?0 -

I'm not sure the bank can do anything. This isn't a "goods not received" scenario. Worth asking, of course.0 -
If you have proof it has been delivered, then there is a potential chargeback.Life in the slow lane0

As I understand the rules, returns requires delivery to them "or their authorised agent" (or something like that). Since they instructed royal mail, doesn't royal mail count as their agent - and therefore, receipt is deemed to be when Royal Mail accept the package (not even deliver it back to Nike?). Keep a screenshot or whatever you have of the tracking, and any receipt of "pickup" you have.Peter

I have proof of postage collecting the item from
mu house. And it does show the item has been delivered on 9th April. I tried to do loss claim with Royal Mail but when I put any date it says I have to wait 7 days before I can treat the item as loss. It’s been more than 7 days so I don’t know the issue.I paid via Santander debit card. How can I make a chargeback claim?Thanks0 -
Contact Santander and ask them.0

I have disputed the transaction with Santander a few days ago. I rang Nike twice today. The first person keep on saying the decision has been made no refund will be issued. 2nd person said that they received the item but it isn’t the same they were expectong As wrong item received they will not issue any refund.I have not sent the wrong item. It is the item
I received from Nike which was returned but they are not accepting it. They refuse to liaise with Royal Mail. They said although the label was issued by Nike, I was the sender and the label contains my details.I rang Royal Mail yesterday and opened a claim but they may not do anything because it was delivered. What are chances in getting a chargeback from Santander?Thanks0 -
Was the item you received the item that you ordered?
What are Nike saying they have received if it is not what they were expecting?
Nike can dispute a chargeback and the refund will be refused or reclaimed if already credited by the bank.0 -

So DO NOT destroy any evidence you have re postage receipt etc. If it goes to court that then helps you.Life in the slow lane0
