Executor of will

Recently my mother has passed away, which left me the executor of the will, going through the insurance papers, i have found 2 that were in here previous name, my father died in 1999, to which my mother remarried 5 years later, but didn't change her surname on the insurance documents, does anybody have any information, to what i should do. thanks

Contact the insurance companies. They will probably want to see a copy of her marriage certificate as well as her death cirtificate.2

Insurers you can often deal with initially without probate being granted if required.
So talk to them direct.
Other things may well need to wait.0
