When UC send a message in your journal wanting to do a review and check everything. Do they also have details regarding any PIP claims?

Is this when they contact you and ask for 4 months bank statements?

    No.
All they are checking is that you are who you say you are & that you do not have more savings than the limits (£6.000 & £16.000) & all accounts have been declared.

Yep what Born Again says. They want to see that you're not over the savings limits or if over 6k that you have what you've told them, that you've not got money coming in that you've not told them about, ID check, that sort of thing. And make sure that you understand the consequences if you've not told them something or been dishonest. Essentially checking that you're getting what you're entitled to, no more or less.

It doesn't involve your PIP claim at all

We had the review and they didn't even mention our finances. We was getting asked loads of questions about PIP and caring responsibilities, I asked her if it was a UC review or PIP review and she said its to do with all our benefits overall she also had our work details from HMRC.

I'm thinking they are combining these reviews into one now.

When you say they didn't mention finances, do you mean you weren't asked to upload babk statements?  Or you uploaded statements but weren't asked about them in the phone call?

The questions were probably to check you qualify for the carer element.  UC definitely can't do a PIP review!

But you said it was the one where they ask you to upload 4 months statements.

UC and PIP are two separate systems. This sounds something different to the standard UC reviews that are being rolled out to all claimants. Was it about work capability? It usually says the purpose in your journal.
