When I take deliveries for others I always ask if they have put a note through the door if they don't then I don't accept.  I do however tend to leave my walking stick (which I rarely need) on the window ledge near the door.  It is one thing to accept delivery of a parcel it is quite another to actually have to deliver myself.

I definitely wouldn't ask for payment as then you are obliged to take the deliveries in and drop them round.

I would start by saying you want him to collect his parcels and you will obviously do the same if he takes parcels in.

Ask him to collect at a set time every day which is convenient for you both.

If that fails then say you can't store his parcels anymore and suggest he gets a storage box for deliveries.
  • Don’t take in anymore parcels, just refuse to take them, say it isn’t for you and close the door. If it gets left then leave it outside , if it rains it rains
  • In this situation I'd politely tell him that I'll not be taking delivery of his parcels any more and ask him not to accept any of mine either.

I don't accept parcels for neighbours at all and I hate it when drivers deliver my parcels to a neighbour, it's such a faff to go and get them, especially if they're out and you have to try again later!

These days you get an email when a parcel is on the way, you can change the delivery date, divert to a locker or set a safe place on your own property (as long as the driver doesn't choose to ignore the safe place request and go to a neighbour instead, we've had that before! :s ), with so many options I see no need to deliver to neighbours any more, nor accept their parcels.
