Travel insurance on Mounjaro

I recently contacted my travel insurance company to tell them that I am taking Mounjaro for weight loss. This is elective and self-funded but prescribed by Asda online doctor. I was shocked when the insurance company refused to cover me and cancelled my policy. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there company's that will cover me?

How did the conversation actually go? What questions did they ask, can you remember?bar_b_biscuit said:I recently contacted my travel insurance company to tell them that I am taking Mounjaro for weight loss. I wonder if they classified it as a recreational medication?
If I were self serving with medical screening online it will ask for the "condition" which I would answer "obesity", it then asks if I use a PAP machine (breathing aid for sleeping) and what my BMI is. There was no question on if taking medication but you'd have ticked the box for having declared the condition.0 -
Is there not usually a question about having consulted a doctor in the last X years?
In which case the online doctor prescribing the drug would fall into that.0 -
normally consulted a doctor, taken prescription medication or suffered symptoms... the OP did declare it and then they declined to quote/cancelled the policysheramber said:Is there not usually a question about having consulted a doctor in the last X years?

Exactly. So your post about no question about medication would be irrelevant.DullGreyGuy said:

The first Q is that, the second Q is "what was the condition"... there is no "what meds are you taking" q, that follows on from the selection of a condition and obesity doesnt trigger anything about what you are doing about it other than PAP machinesheramber said:
