LBC from DCB Legal - Moved House + No PCN Received (UKPC at McDonald's)

Hi all,
I'm looking for advice on how to proceed after receiving a Letter Before Claim from DCB Legal Ltd regarding an alleged parking charge issued by UK Parking Control Ltd at a McDonald's car park.
Background:
-
I moved house in October and assume any PCNs were sent to my old address, which I never received.
-
In mid-December to mid-January, I was abroad on vacation and came back to find letters from DCBL (not DCB Legal) at my new address demanding £170.
-
I ignored those letters as advised in the NEWBIES thread, and eventually received a Letter Before Claim from DCB Legal, which I now have.
-
I contacted McDonald's to ask them to cancel the PCN (since I was a customer), but they refused.
-
I have already emailed DCB Legal asking for a 30-day hold and to re-send the claim details, since I never got the original PCN.
-
I will be sending a Subject Access Request to UKPC shortly.
My Issue:
Since I had no idea about the charge until late and was away when most letters came, I never had the opportunity to appeal early. I don’t think I have any solid legal reason to defend the claim, and I was parked there as a genuine customer — just longer than their signs apparently allowed.
Should I:
-
Just accept the charges and pay the £170 carge?
-
Wait and see if they issue a County Court Claim and then settle or defend?
It’s frustrating — I paid about £10 for a meal and now could be paying £170 for parking. It feels unfair, but I also don’t want to risk more hassle if I have no real case to argue.
Any guidance would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

Obviously you are not paying! And not this either:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the reply.
But if they send a claim, I am finding it hard to understand what my defense would be. I did overshoot the allowed time.0 -
The template defence will be used, some of the content will depend on the POC, which you haven't received yet
Cross that bridge when you come to it1 -
I paid about £10 for a meal and now could be paying £170 for parking. It's quite horrific when you see it written like that.
I know you've read the NEWBIES just checking you did notify UKPC and DCB legal DPO your change of address and current one for service just with you not receiving any of UKPC pcns.1 -
You just use the Template Defence when it comes to that stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
