jazzy said:I am currently on the tracker tariff for both gas and electricity with Octopus Energy. Is it worth sticking with the tracker tariff or are there better options with Octopus Energy? My fixed term for Tracker ended mid January just as prices were peaking. Jumped to a fixed and have been following Tracker prices off & on since. Current rates are on a downward trend, so there may be small savings to be had on electricity. Switching gas would only result in a few pennies of savings for me now that spring/summer is here (expect to use 15kWh or less for hot water).Contemplating switching to Agile as my daily usage profile avoids much of the evening peak during the week. Her courage will change the world.

I’m on Tracker for gas and electricity. I remained on it and switched to Dec 24 version. I started the winter with over £600 credit and I’ve still got over £600 credit so I’m pleased with it.0

Tracker is currently Octopus's cheapest gas tariff, as far as I can tell.Electricity is more complicated due to the number of time-of-use tariffs available, access to some of which will depend on other factors - EVs, heat pumps, storage heaters etc.N. Ask to change to Electricity to April 2025 version, SC likely to reduce to 50.42p - unit rate would be 23.66p today based on April 2025v2
Gas might be worth staying as it is to take advantage of slightly lower SC during summer months.1 -
Worth bearing in mind that there seem to be two April 2025 versions for electricity. I'm on v1 and it's generally over 1p cheaper per kwh than v2.
Not sure why there are two April tariffs - they've never done that in the past and both seem to date back to the same day according to gastracker.0 -
