How to treat water damaged engineered wooden flooring?

I've just discovered that there was water leaking from a container I had stored in a cupboard which has soaked some of the engineering wooden flooring. I'm wiped as much as I can away with clothes however I was wondering what should I do next to best treat the flooring? Leave a fan there for some time? Once completely dry, would it be worth oiling?

Wait until it dries completely. If it changes the colour, oiling is unlikely to help. It would be good if it doesn't buckle/crack.0

Once it has been dry for awhile try rubbing it gently down with Fine Grade Steel Wool,if it is a surface mounted stain that might improve appearance.
Fine grade is on offer in Screwfix at £3.00 at the moment.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0
