Zara - mis-sold two bedside tables only delivered one and now say they are out of stock

My daughter has just bought her first flat - very exciting, lucky girl. I purchased two bedside tables for her as a welcome present from Zara. They have delivered one and said the other had been sent back. They now say it is out of stock. Obviously she does not want one without the other. They are only offering a refund on one. To my mind, they have mis-sold me a product they do not have. How do I go about getting my money back for both - they are welcome to the one that was delivered at the weekend. Zara only offer the ability to chat on what's app, it seems impossible to speak to a living being. Does anyone know how I can do this or any suggestions on what. to do next would be much much appreciated. Thanks so much.

How were they bought? In store or online?

    When were they delivered?

Assuming it's an online purchase then each item can be cancelled up to 14 days after delivery and naturally any time before delivery.

So you purchased two bedside tabled for you daughter from the Zara website.  Your daughter accepted one but sent the other one back?  You have the right to return the other one though I suspect Zara might not pay for the return shipping.  So you might be best to raise a complaint with Zara.

No, she accepted one and one wasn't delivered.  They are now saying the one that wasn't delivered is not in stock
  • Delivery of wrong quantity means she may reject the one that was delivered:

as long as they were part of one order, then the order has not been fulfilled and she is entitled to a return and refund.

To clarify, it's the OP that is entitled to a refund.  The daughter may not get anywhere as the recipient.
  • Thank you all for your clients - showing my ignorance what is an OP?

Original Poster, ie. you.  In this instance it could also stand for Original Purchaser.  You're the one with the consumer rights, not your daughter.
