Was the 20mph zone in Wales, where almost every previous 30mph zone has been reduced to 20mph?

But the whole policy is in a mess with backpedaling from the Wales govt, having Drakeford and Waters out of the way, many 'new' 20mph zones are in the process of reverting to 30mph. The whole sorry mess has cost the Welsh public £30million for the introduction, and further £xmillion to put it all back together again. Political dogma at its worst!  I'm not sure whether the Wales police have that much appetite to prosecute, given the shambles.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The sign speed limit comes later on down the stretch of the road. Unfortunately, I did not have my satnav on, on the last occasion.
I feel that if there was a speed limit sign a lot earlier on the stretch, I would have had a better chance of being notified regarding the 20 mph limit. Is this a legitimate argument?
The sign is at the start of where the limit applied. If it was further down, then it is a repeater. Or are you saying there is too much of a distance between the repeaters and you forgot you were still in a 20 zone?

Not seeing the first sign (unless it is obscured) or forgetting you are still in a 20 zone is not a legitimate argument.

You probably won't hear anything about it. We can all drift a bit in lower speed zones but take it as a reminder to try not too.
