Morning everyone
Yes Gers I'm off to Marrakech today, I'm off in about half an hour and will be there just before 7pm tonight, eldest DD should arrive half an hour earlier. She is at Nuremberg airport waiting for her flight to Amsterdam, then she has a 4 hour wait for her next one. I'm really looking forward to seeing her and exploring a new to both of us place.
DD has just messaged to say her and little one are home , they've had a lovely weekend away. Little one has a play carer coming this morning so she's very excited to see her. When she was younger they came every couple of weeks, now she's at school it's usually once every school holidays, which is excellent.
Right best get dressed, take care everyone...I'll 'see' you all next week x

Morning all! Sunny so far...Dismantling the greenhouse went ok but I did smash a few panes going round a corner, insufficient padding, no worries though, greenhouse glass is available through a local gc. Next comes the job of cleaning all of it and making a base for it. That's the next few weeks big job sorted
Today is going to be gardening out the back, or more accurately, organising stuff ready for the removal of other stuff. I appear to have some patches of eczema type stuff around my eyes so hoping that does one and disappears soon.
Ruby, so good to hear Rob is thriving. Camelot, what a shock about your auntie, it's just ridiculous that she was sent in that condition. TA, fingers crossed for smooth bus tripping! mehefin, maybe you should get a panic button or something in case you do fall under a hay bale...or ask for some help! waggy finger. Izzy, yeah, the chain gc's are really escalating prices...oh dear...you might have encouraged me to go to see a couple todaynanny, hope all is well today for you... Take care all, escpecially in changeable weather...

Morning all we have light rain here this morning and the wind has picked up again. Sad to see the sun disappear but we need some rain for the gardens. I got all the bedding dried and put away yesterday and my tummy seems to have settled down at last too.
This morning the DGC are arriving for an overnight stay, I've got plenty of food and snacks in as they have hollow legs, and arms, as they both dwarf me. How come they can eat 24/7 and stay so thin ? They have requested a Chinese takeaway for tonight and DGS wants a full English breakfast tomorrow. Thankfully DGD is more like me and will probably have croissants. I'm sure they think we run a B&B with Evening meals 🤣
Camelot hugs. Moan as much as you need.
dp1 enjoy your holiday with your DD.
Hugs to anyone in need. Take care all, enjoy your day. Sorry if I have missed any news, my head is a bit scrambled today.

Morning all. We had reasonably good weather yesterday; it was cooler and breezier than of late, but the sun stayed for the best part of the day. Today is supposed to be much the same with rain arriving this evening.
I did a stint in the kitchen yesterday slicing up the gammon - enough for several meals - and seem to have mastered the art of sharpening the carving knife, it's all in the rhythm. Another small win.Four portions of soup made. Freezer drawers tidied (again). After that I finished writing up the Life Book for DS although I hope he won't need it for a good while! I've ordered three summer dresses, not expensive as they were on sale and, once I'd applied a voucher code for 20% off and free delivery, they came in at half price. Providing they're what I want, I'll let three other items go to the CS - one in/one out.
Today's main task is to remove the contents of the pantry ready for tomorrow's gas boiler service, an ideal opportunity to check BB dates on tins, packets etc. I'm not expecting any nasty surprises with that or the boiler, but will be asking the engineer to check the water flow temperature setting and possibly reduce it - I'm sure it's set higher than it needs to be.
@remmie - So sorry to hear of your NDN's predicament.
@Ruby - Good to hear Rob is settled and doing well in respite.
@camelot - I wish I could say the same about your aunt at her care home. Hugs to you and her.
@Scarlet - Have a good visit to your friend today, glad she's doing well at home.
@TA - Enjoy your trip to Harrogate tomorrow, fingers crossed the bus connections are as they should be.
@mehefin - The episode with the hay bale could have been much worse, hope the aches disappear soon.
My very best wishes to all, especially those who are having a tough time. Take care, be kind. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Good afternoon
Well, after a sunny start it's now overcast and pretty breezy. Usual chores done, big dog walked (twice). Chicken burgers for tea tonight, trying to use up some of the freezer supplies, plus I haven't been shopping yet.
Mrs ND is comfortable and receiving treatment, so we can only hope.
Enjoy the rest of today, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.7 -
Hello everyone,
We walked along the SWCP today from Perranporth to Porthtowan in driving rain and Atlantic wind! Who needs Botox - my forehead was stiff as a board!
