Morning Gers and all to follow
How do the weekends go so quickly seemed to go by in a flash and here we are back to work. We got the little shed cleaned out and tidied yesterday the black bin is now full to the top but the shed looks much better now and I can get to my gardening things.
Rob coming today and our friends are on holiday this week so we will go and do some shopping this morning and then get the dogs out for a walk and make a cake this afternoon, there is still no sign of his review date so he continues in respite - long may it continue he is having a good life now for the first time in years.
Dinner tonight is paprika chicken with pasta GF for OH it’s a Mary Berry recipe and was lovely when we had it before. I have put a wash on this morning and there is another to do they can both be hung on the line, rain tomorrow so need to make the most of the good weather.
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
The good weather has left us and we have rain today, the garden very much needs a good watering.
I've been to stay with my Cousin in North Wales so we could visit my Aunt - I've never been so shocked and saddened by her situation. She has been discharged from hospital to a care home, didn't have any medication and was in terrible pain. Between us and her son she now has medication and had picked up a bit on Saturday when we visited. My Cousin let it slip that she would be there for 6 weeks and she went up like a firework saying she wasn't staying for a week let alone 6 but she isn't mobile at all and can't get out of the chair or pull herself up in bed. She just wants to go home but wouldn't be able to manage at all.
Sorry to offload my moans on you all.
Travel down was awful on Friday but I left at 4am yesterday and had a good run, just need to catch up on some sleep now.
Sorry to hear your neighbour isn't doing so well Remmie.
You sound to be doing well with your walking Coxy.
Not a lot happening today, will just potter about at home and hopefully have a Nanna Nap!
Take care. XX13 -
Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's fine here, as was yesterday. There was a cold wind though.
Just pottered yesterday, the day seemed to slip away in no time.
I'm visiting my elderly friend nearby today - she had a fall a while ago and was in hospital, then a rehabilitation unit to aid her recovery. She's home now, and walking with a zimmer, doing pretty well, so I'll be pleased to see her.
I'll nip to the shops today as well for one or two items.
That's about it for today.
Mehefin, hope you're feeling better now.
Snoozer, it'll be a massive change for you when the family move out, you'll not know what to do with yourself.
Hope everyone else is ok and has a good day, take care folks.14 -

Morning allSunny here at the moment. No plans to go out which is good as the boiler man is coming to give it it's yearly service. Due to come between now and 1pm.That's awful about your aunt Camelot. What was the hospital thinking of and why didn't the care home step in?Good news about Rob being properly cared for now Ruby, long may it continue.Well I think I'll give the kitchen a bit of a spruce up while waiting for the knock on the door.Have a good day all x11

Morning again - I've been pottering around since my first post. Washed my hair and then made fried mushroom scrambled egg for breakfast. The other day I bought a couple of packets of YS chestnut mushrooms which I sliced and stuck in the freezer. So sorry to read about your beloved auntie @Camelot. Of course she'll want to be at home even though it may not be too practicable. Carers can be organised, the bed could have a holding handle attached so that she can lift herself up (if she's got arm strength) though the best place for her is the six week rehabilitation placement. The physiotherapy and regular meals will help build her up.Enjoy your visit with your old friend @Scarlet.@DP1 - are you off on holiday today? If so, happy holiday. This morning I'm off to my exercise class in the next village. Rain is forecast for later and it is decidedly cooler again, it's easy to forget that it's just mid-April and the recent lovely weather was a fluke.I hope that all the poorlies and sads have a better day. Hugs to all.10

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Well the sun is still shining here and the promised rain has been postponed until overnight. Cooler and a bit of a wind yesterday but still very pleasant. A good shop with DS yesterday and it feels good to have a full fridge and f & v stocks replenished again.. Talk about Old Mother Hubbard!
I finally got a sack of compost too, so today I want to fill a few pots and get some seeds going. I can't wait for the dangers of frost to pass and I can brighten everywhere up with bedding plants.
I shall be missing tomorrow as I am off on a long bus trip with middle DGD. Something that sounded a good idea at the time! Now I am not so sure! We are setting off early doors for Harrogate to meet up with DD, youngest DGD, and some caravan friends, to go for a meal at an Italian restaurant they found last summer and praise highly. We'll have about five and a half hours in Harrogate before the long bus trip back. I'll take a book and DGD says she will do some revising! I am just hoping all the buses co-operate and we don't miss any connections. I've done this trip once before and all went to plan so hoping for the same tomorrow.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Hi everyone,
We stayed up late to watch the golf last night. It's made me think a lot about dad who would have been thrilled to see Rory McIlroy win, he put us through the wringer though.
I'm anticipating a quiet day of sorting and tidying today. Steve is going over to the stables to carry on, we went over there yesterday and had an afternoon of imaginative play. I'm sure Nate is going to grow up to be an actor he loves playing pretend games. He's doing really well with his potty training but I know that Crystal is feeling worried about nursery today.
Hugs to all the poodles and those who are sad.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all from Mehefinland
I'm bouncing back - literally! One of the many tasks I carry out is bringing haylage to the barn. It comes in a big slab bale which is covered in plastic wrap - I'm sure you will have all seen them. Anyway last week I was taking a slice out of said bale which was probably 2/3rds used and it fell over backwards. I wasn't prepared for it ( I usually prop it up with a post when it's getting near that stage) and as I was standing on the bottom of the wrap I got skittled out and landed on my bum. Fortunately the bale fell away from me and not onto me or I would have been in trouble. No damage to me, other than my dignityand a sore backside for a few days. I did wonder if that had triggered my poor health over the weekend - suppose it was possible. Anyway, everything is now ok although I am still a bit achy (sp?).
Just brought a barrowload of poo down ready for the dahlias which are sat in my kitchen merrily sprouting little shoots. It is still a bit early to put them out as it is certainly cooler these last few days. Got seedlings everywhere too which need potting up . A busy time ahead, as I grow the bulk of them for the library plant sale.
Still waiting for the water board to come and see if I can have a meter, and as I have no idea where the stop !!!!!! is on the road it could be interesting when they do come. I suspect the leaning wall at the front will have to come down so they can access the pipe so I have left that job in abeyance until they have been.
So many jobs - so little enthusiasm lol
Hugs and spoons to those in need. Get well soon poodles
Mehefin aka Derek11
