Bathroom/Kitchen redo

Hi all
I am looking for some help about a quote I have received from Wickes and if it's fair and a couple of other questions - that will show my inexperience and naivety.
For the bathroom with a new bath (whirlpool) and shower as well as new fittings and sinks and radiator it's around 9600 (including installation)
For the kitchen with an American fridge freezer, new oven and hob and 12 units, new sink and hot water tap and new worktops 11600 (including price)
Are wickes normally competitive in price?
Do Wickes negotiate on price or do they stick to the quoted?
If Wickes/another provider do negotiate what is the best way to do this?
If we were to buy a new bath and shower and toilet and get an independent plumber what is a typical price for that (South of England)
Sorry if I sound naive/haven't provided enough info

I don’t know the answers to your questions but I believe Wickes don’t have a particularly good reputation in customer service. For the kitchen you could compare the price with the units from DIY Kitchens. They sell ready made units so they are easier to fit but it would give you an idea of the cost of the kitchen. It would also give you something to bargain against if you want to negotiate with Wickes. I think it’s nearly always negotiable. We got a kitchen for my aunt from Howdens and they price matched DIY Kitchens. We then got a fitter.0
