Quick question please. I have done some googling and still confused.
My Mum died 1 year ago and my share of the inheritance has already come to me and sitting in NS and I savings account.
I was the Executor as well as siblings lived abroad.
If I wanted to give one son a hefty deposit to buy his first place (circa £200k) is it too late to use a Deed of Variation? Have plenty of other funds including a fully paid for house so if I needed to go into care myself then there more than enough money to fund that.
Thank you.

So I can do now even though the will and money has been sorted and the money is now with me. It doesn’t matter that the money has already been given to me?
Is this a quick job for a solicitor? We have a good one but wanted to make sure I was able to do this.0 -
Yes no problem in doing this and a very simple job for your solicitor.1

Thank you Keep. Over the years you have given me some good advice. Of course I never take what anyone says on forums as gospel but I do like to do some investigation myself before I start to speak to professionals. Now I can just write to them asking them to do it and what their cost will be.
Thank you once again
