SiliconChip said:I have done that now, their response was this:I believe this issue has since been resolved and should be in affect for your next cashback payment. If the cashback isn't more than this month's amount, next month - please contact us and we can have this checked. That sounds quite promising, assuming the CS operative's knowledge of the issue is better than their grammar.....Many thanks for the update.1

As I think you need to check the actual DD in the DD list to see what it shows as the description.
You're right, it does indeed says GC re Octopus Energy Limited in the DD list, I'll amend my previous post.1 -
Note: Octopus Energy have recently changed their direct debit payment method and are now using GoCardless to manage payments. As GoCardless is not classed as an energy provider, cashback on Octopus Energy payments is no longer applicable.0

This just repeats the theme of this thread and the opening post!
It omits the more recent info, in recent posts above, that this problem may (we hope) be being fixed soon.1 -
At least this is gas/electricity, I suppose, and you can easily change to another supplier to get the cashback. Unlike water companies and councils where the use of Go Cardless would really take the biscuit, since you are stuck with whoever covers your area and shouldn’t lose out because of a decision you have no control over.0

Just had a response to my complaint with Santander. Basically computer says no! They say if Octopus continue to use Gocardless that DD payments will not be eligable for cashback. They are offering me a £10 goodwill payment, but that's not the point here. If Octopus are going to be the only energy supplier not eligible for Santander cashback then they need to remove them from the list on their website.2

I have just had a text reply to my complaint via the chat thingy but all it says is "Your request is complete and should receive a letter within 7 days" which is not very helpful and sounds like the answer will be similar to hgt's..

Also missing 2% cashback for Octopus in my Santander 123 Lite account this month (10 April) and been badgering away at both companies.
Think there has been a successful outcome now - thanks no doubt to pressure from MSE - thank you :-)
Santander's chat customer service has just assured me that the issue has now been resolved and all FUTURE cashback for Octopus will be eligible - but NOT the missing cashback for this month.
I've tried to argue the case for the missing cashback for this month but nothing doing. It's only £3 but it's the principle...5 -
Lots of left hand right hand going on at Santander, by the sounds of it3

My DD via GoCardless was created 19th March and first used on 7th April.2% Cashback received today 16th April as usual on my S123 account.Panic over.8
