Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's started off fine here, but the forecast is not looking good.
We might go for a walk later.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. The sky is looking a bit grey here but no rain forecast until tomorrow. The T shirts will be going away again I think.
Supermarket Sweep this morning with DS. I have quite a long stock up list to replenish plundered supplies. Also the fridge and fruit bowl are looking decidedly bare. Other than that no other plans for the day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. I hope your DD and DGD continue to enjoy their little break .DP1. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all.
Beautiful day in Oxford yesterday and I didn't need my coat on at all. Did more dancing than expected as someone pulled out sick but my back and knee aren't too bad considering.
Today we are off to the future in laws to go through wedding things for DS and try on clothes. We've been invited to stay for lunch so I'm recording the Boat Race to watch later. This evening I've been offered a lift to a music session so will be accepting that.
The sun's shining here but rain is due later. Hope everyone's Sunday goes well.13 -
Hi everyone,
It's another lovely day although the temperature is set to be cooler. We're going over to Chris and Crystal's, I made some butternut squash soup to take but it was very bland. After googling I added cider vinegar and cinnamon and it's better.
We'll be watching the golf this evening with fingers crossed for McIlroy.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning again - I've had my two boiled eggs with a slice of toast. Haven't had toast for years so I really enjoyed it. I 'discovered' a lovely soft sourdough bread which appeals to me. Sourdough can be fairly tough to bite and chew and sometimes toasts into a hard piece. This one makes lovely toast, just as I've given away my toaster! However, I won't be eating it as normal, just the odd slice now and then, the rest of the loaf is in the freezer. My trip up north yesterday was successful. Got what I needed, bought stuff I didn't need and then visited some friends. The husband was busy oiling his boat oars, he'd already spent weeks doing the actual boat, ready for launching next week. Once home I tackled a few jobs which had been waiting for too long. The important one was T-cutting a couple of scratches on my car door. It can't be done in bright sunshine so yesterday was perfect - some sun but not blazing. My best effort
was putting away the pile of T-shirts, trousers and jumpers which had been festooning a chair upstairs and annoying me. All clear. Moved some more money around (changing ISA provider) and contemplated buying more socks.
Today is free, after a couple of heavy driving days I may well just sloth around. The sky is bright but the air is much cooler, I almost brought out the woolly tights again but resisted, something I may well regret. It's lovely to read about dancing, walking, making music, shopping and washing. None of which I'll be doing.Take care everyone, hugs to the poorlies and sads.11 -
Morning everyone I’ve just wrote a post and it’s disappeared don’t know what happened there never mind nothing urgent we are going to fill the car and call at a garden centre I still want a few plants I got a nice one off the market yesterday but he didn’t have a lot on mostly bedding plants . I managed to get the bedding washed and dried and the towels yesterday housework is all caught up with I usually sit on a night while I’m watching the tv doing surveys I had enough vouchers to buy to rugs for the kitchen I got a big square one for the top of the kitchen and a runner for the bottom they match and are washable I didn’t want to put mats down but it’s so cold in there but they looked lovely I’m really pleased with them and they are definitely warmer to walk on what a difference. It’s nice and bright here which wasn’t forcast but it’s meant to be rain for the rest of the week so better make the most of today . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning everyone
It's a nice sunny morning, I have my bedding busy washing so I'll get it out on the line soon. Then I'll get the cats blankets done, after the lady from the cattery picks them up for their holidays.
I have clothes ready but nothing in my case yet, I'll get it packed this afternoon.
Yesterday the sun had gone in by the time I went to sit outside, but it was still warm - I had a very lazy couple of hours. I had a nice chat with DD and little one, they'd enjoyed Beamish and were back at their little pod enjoying the sunshine. Little one was very impressed that the tooth fairy had found her and left a coin under her pillow.
Right I've jobs o do before I go down to mam and dads - hope everyone has a lovely day10 -
Mooning all from Mehefinland
been off radar for a while. Picked up a bug somewhere and was decidedly 'unwell' overnight Friday-Sat, so was wrung out all day yesterday. Did, finally, manage to get the council's new router working ( I think!!) so may go down and check later. All the outdoor jobs were scuttled yesterday as we had a cold and showery day, nowhere near enough rain to do any good though. The horses are shedding coat like there's no tomorrow - great patches of hair on the grass where they have rolled which the birds are taking for nesting. My list of 'to do' jobs seems to be getting longer by the day, I just cba to get on with many of them, although some of them are quite big , for instance - paint outside of house! It will be done - just not just yet.
A stack of seedlings need sorting out too, they are just getting to that stage where I can handle them, so maybe in the next few days if the weather stays reasonable, as I need to make room in the greenhouse. My friend up the road has a big polytunnel and her tomatoes are already huge. It is hot in there in the sun though and I wonder if they have got too big, to soon. Time will tell.
Right, better stir me stumps. Hugs and spoons as always.
Mehefin aka Derek
Oops nearly forgot the poodles! Get well soon.10 -
Thanks @Gers for the start and good morning to one and all. Yesterday's weather was perfect and today doesn't look too bad, dry and sunny so far but cooler than we've been treated to over the last few days. After that we're in for a spell of changeable and wetter days, aka "normal" for the time of year.
DS came yesterday morning and, after a late breakfast of cheese omelette and toast (neither of us likes to eat as soon as we get up), we took the haul of donations to the CS. No doubt there may be more at some stage but my decluttering is almost complete - I haven't missed anything either. In the afternoon I cleaned the now empty space under the stairs, cooked the gammon joint I bought earlier in the month and prepped a selection of fresh veg (carrots, swede, green beans) for the freezer.
Today I'll slice the gammon, make a pan of tomato & red pepper soup and put away the clean laundry. After that it will be chill out time. There seems to be a lot of sport on TV (I'm not a fan) but I see there is a showing of South Pacific on Sky Arts this afternoon so I might indulge in that for a bit of nostalgia that will take me back to when I was a child. My late DM was a huge fan of musical cinema. The only other thing I want to do is have a browse for a couple of dresses or skirts for summer - I haven't got any at all and I'm sure my legs would appreciate a change from the usual crop leggings!
@TA - Good luck with your Supermarket Sweep, fingers crossed you get everything on your list.
@dp1 - Happy packing, one of my least favourite jobs.
@mehefin - Sorry to hear you've been under the weather and I hope you're feeling better now. My To Do list always feels like a case of one step forward and two back - the intent is there but the enthusiasm is sometimes often lacking!
Time for brekkie (porridge & fruit today) and a rummage in the freezer to find something for lunch. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and the sun if you have it. Hugs as usual, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
