Did the roofers do right if my new flat roof is puddling?

Had roofers redo my flat roof. There are giant puddles, like four feet across. Talked to them about it and they put in channels to drain better. But now there are big puddles by the channels and puddles in the channels. They did not create any pitch on the flat roof and it seems like a failure. Am I right about this? What are next steps to get it fixed? What should I ask of roofers now?

You'll probably get more response if you post this on the "In My Home ..." board.  There are a lot of knowledgeable people on there.

This needs moving to a what has been suggested by mtc95.

I do hope you have not paid the "roofer" yet as this looks like a terrible mess.

Did they construct the entire roof / new extension, or did they simply re-felt whatever the support structure was that was there before?

It may be best to ask again in a US forum.

The whole job does look a bit slapdash and appears that they used a bunch of offcuts to cover the roof. The timber cladding in the corner is going to suffer from quite a bit of splash back when it rains. In a few years, the bottom strip or two will be rotting away quite nicely. If the roofers had replaced the deck, they should have used thicker furrings to get a decent fall for the water to drain away.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

You've got to expect a bunch of Cowboys to turn up on a job in Texas.
