I stopped caring for my partner on the 8Th April and my final weekly payment was/should be on the 7th, I believe I receive it weekly in advance. I did notify CA and UC. My UC claim has been switched to a single claim, they have fully deducted the CA for the assessment period. I've checked my statement and it seems I am not being paid the Carer Premium/element for that same period. They are only paying me £12. Is this correct? I was getting the premium on my joint claim.

Can someone please confirm that my Carers will now be definitely stopped since I reported that I am no longer caring or living with the person before any payment would have been sent out on their end. The money was being paid into my ex partners account and I no longer have access to it and don't want to be liable for a benefit I requested to be stopped.

From your comment it would be difficult to answer as not enough information.

You will need to send a journal message asking about this.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Your entitlement to Carer's Allowance continued until 13th April inclusive, so the amount to be deducted from your new single UC award due to the CA would depend on the dates of your Assessment Period.

However, your new single UC award would not include the Carer Element at all.

This difference in the rules does mean that there can be a mismatch in outcomes, where they would correctly deduct money from your UC award for the CA, despite you not getting the Carer Element.

What are the dates of your Assessment Periods?
