Flight spend reversed but flights still confirmed

I bought flights on my AMEX credit card. I received a confirmation email for the flights and all was normal. Then my pending transaction on my AMEX disappeared. I contacted AMEX who said the flight operator had reversed it - so now I have my credit limit back. I contacted the flight operator and they say everything is fine and I still have confirmation of my flight. As far as they're concerned, it's paid for. I've confirmed with both AMEX and the flight operator twice now who say it must be something to do with the other one. Not quite sure what to do? Have I just been lucky and got some free flights? Tricky as I'm not sure if I can spend on the rest of my credit limit or not.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Or know where I stand on this? Thanks!

Sounds very odd.  Are you sure it's not simply that the "pending" transaction has now been replaced by a "confirmed" transaction?

Afraid not. Credit limit is back to what it was beforehand and the people on customer service at AMEX confirmed it'd been reversed on Easyjet's side. Is a very odd one!

I suspect Easyjet's payment processing system has hit an error and the transaction has not completed - but Easyjet customer services do not have this information yet.

Or you might find the transaction reappears in the future. I had this a while back (can't remember which card it was or the vendor), where the pending payment dropped off and about a week later the transaction just appeared without any further warning
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
