Hi everyone,
Thanks for the support. It's another quiet day today, signs of things to come. The cleaner is here and Steve has gone to Chris and Crystal's to do some more work on their stables. He's installing the flooring at the moment, the end is looking to be in sight but he only gets one or two days a week to work on it so it will be a while yet. At least they know that it will be done to a very high standard after the bodging the builder (who was recommended by their architect) carried out.
I want to start repotting some of my house plants and I might try to propagate some of them. I have tried some easy ones with a bit of success but I'd like to try some of the more difficult ones then Laura can take some with her.
We are going to a quiz at Steve's golf club tonight, we can't take our other team members because they have changed the rules to say that members can only take one guest each. This has resulted in a distinct loss of ticket sales and is, we think, because our team has won every one and some people didn't like that. Anyway, we've decided to go just as a couple as a sort of protest.
Taff, the only rice pudding I made that came out stodgy was one that contained egg - I want to say it was a Delia recipe but I might be maligning her.
Gers enjoy your trip.
Everyone else enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.10 -
Taff he hasn’t got my special powers I have an invisible clothes line that only I can see I used to wish my powers on him when I worked and it rained before I got home and I forgot to tell him there was a line full of washing he had never seen it8

Afternoon all, I'm late today as I have been mowing the meadows as we are due rain tomorrow afternoon. It's taken about 4/5 hrs 😲, it's been do a bit, sit down, do a bit, sit down and have a coffee, rinse and repeat. Thankfully Mr Fix It has helped too and it's all done now, even the edges !
This morning I received yet another referral letter, my 3rd, it's to see the Endocrinologist this time which was a surprise to me as my GP hadn't mentioned that one. Oh well 3's a charm although I've already seen the dermatologist but have to go back in a couple of months to see if the new cream is working. She thinks it's psoriasis and not eczema.
I finished my book yesterday and I'm about to sit out in the garden and start a new one, a murder/thriller. Hope everyone is having a good day. Hugs to anyone who is in need for any reason.
Snoozer sending you lots of big cwtches and I hope you feel more upbeat soon. I'm also glaring at an insensitive Brian 😠
Rosy I hope the funeral has gone as well as it could.
Take care all,
nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8 -
Thanks taff and Nanny. A couple of my worries have been allayed in that Laura has seen a couple of nurseries today that she is happy with for Esther and she has also found a treatment room for her acupuncture practice. She has built up her practice here to the point where she has to turn people away because of lack of appointments. She's getting a lot of word of mouth recommendations so I hope she can make a success in Bristol.7
