Power Standing charges
It was reported last year that the energy companies would be made to offer a lower standing charge /with higher unit costs of course (thanks to Martins campaign) it was Anticipated by June this year. Is this still on? I haven't heard anything:does anyone know?

Last I read was the March consultation exerciseEditThere proposed solution - is to have 2 seperate cap cost guided tariffs - one with SC and one without - users choice. And not at all what energy charities wanted at all - and so they reacted negatively in the press - given especially the higher prices that many even below TDCV users could see in some of the scenarios offered. And I guess we might see that response in the next update. As Ofgem do tend to publish group if not indivual responses.Theres a couple of threads in response to that in the fourm if do a search0
