Hi I’m travelling abroad soon with my daughter, her partner and child
I booked and paid separately to them even though we are travelling together and staying at same hotel
my question is can I buy group/ family travel insurance for us all ? Or will I have to buy mine separately?

Your trip is the same. The travel insurance covers the trip. So you can buy travel insurance as a group. That being said it might not necessarily be the best option. It might make sense for your daughter's family to get an annual policy whilst you get a single trip policy. You can try getting quotes online0

Sometimes there's little difference in price between a single trip policy and an annual one. In some cases it may actually be cheaper.
The problem that I would worry about is that if something happens to cancel the trip at the last moment (daughter breaks her leg or something) then would your insurance cover you for cancelling when you were not actually effected? Or if it does cover cancellation in this instance would there be 2 deductibles? It may be best to have insurance (whatever you all get) to be with the same provider.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Would you want to travel if they were unable to travel for some reason.
Much better to be on a group policy.
Cheaper is not always the best option
