SKY TV Daily Deals

Hi, my Sky TV contract is up and called them to negotiate a new deal. They gave me a price which I thought was a poor offer- close to the current cost-  so said I would think about it but minded to cancel. I waited a couple of weeks before calling back and spoke to Retentions Team and they offered an even higher price and said the old price was now finished and they do daily deals. I either had to accept or try again on another day! This is not the same practice as before and wondered if anyone had seen this and any feedback as to what I should try next. I have requested a manager to call me back but not sure if this will happen.

With all the streaming options available I'd question whether you need Sky TV

Sky will give you any old rubbish (eg daily deals!) to stop you from cancelling. As to a callback from a "manager" - Hell will freeze over first !!

No point in keep calling them back if you haven't cancelled, there will never be a decent "daily deal".

From personal experience as always you need to play their silly game and give them the 31 days notice and cancel and see what they offer you after you've cancelled - it will definitely not be their best offer.
You can start the haggle via live chat or phone once you've seen what they're prepared to offer to keep your business.
As Mark_d already pointed out I'd ask yourself why you need Sky at all. From personal experience my list of what I watched was extremely small.
What do you actually watch that's on there that you can't get elsewhere?
