Evening all. Still haven't heard anything from this.

My defence was received on 01/05/2025. 

Is there anything I can do or just simply wait?

If that is the last entry in the MCOL claim history,  then it's keep waiting,  keep checking MCOL claim history weekly

Still waiting on a response from this... 6 months+ now and MCOL just states "defence received".

You dont wait you forget about it for now
You may well never get a response. Its simply forgotten about by the client /claimant and unless you move or hear anything else you do nothing 

Nor do you need to ask this question in 3 months time

12 months later, I have just received a draft order stating;

1- the claimant be granted relief from sanctions;

2- the stay on proceedings be lifted

3- permission be given for the claimant to file and serve a directions questionnaire in response to the defendants response

4- there be no order as to costs.

The reason it's been stayed for so long:

8- the defendant filed a response to the claim on 1st May 2025, but the claimant was not made aware of this response. As such, we did not have the knowledge of the same and the claimant's directions questionnaire was therefore not filed and served within the correct time frame. The claimant was made aware of the response when judgment was requested, and ultimately rejected on 20th October 2025.

DQ sent to you on 12/05/2026

I presume I carry on as normal and fill in the N180 questionnaire? It's been nearly 18-months since this all began so I feel a little on the back foot…

To keep this post updated.

mediation was today - I offered nothing as I feel the defence is strong. They offered me the ability to pay the full amount over 12 months… I obviously rejected this kind offer.

The mediator did state they were confident as they had the landowners permission so would win at court.

That makes me feel better as I believe the byelaw overrules any landowners permission in this case.

On to court!
