Morning everyone I have just come in from a cleaning job I went early today as she is having a hospital bed delivered her hubby is coming home Friday sadly for end of life care it’s what he wants and they have plenty of family to help when she spoke to him last night he said he was just having a little lie down because he was worn out he’d just finished cooking over 800 meals for all the staff and she would have to make her own tea bless him . I’m shattered it’s a old house with very steep narrow stairs she’s had me moving stuff up and down stairs to make way for this bed they were only light but a few times i thought I was going to break my neck but it’s done now I have told her just to let me know about the next few weeks see how it goes . DP1 I’m pleased the swimming went well good that she got to enjoy it Ruby well done for sorting Rob out he will feel a lot more comfortable now . Taff raspberries are my favourites Right I’ve finished my cuppa I’m going to have a little tootle about with the dog she can’t walk as far now although she has enjoyed these mornings when we have had a frost she’s like a young pup again but then is quite happy to snooze the rest of the day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Good morning all
A bright sunny start, although yesterday's wind kept the temperature down a bit.i think April showers are forecast for next week, just in time for the bank holiday.
Mrs next door is still in hospital having tests. It's very worrying as all this has only happened since last week when we had the emergency dash to the gp. Her husband is spending most of the day there, but bless him is using public transport although we have offered lifts.
After the successful of my home made burgers, ( they were delicious and so easy to make), I decided to try scotch eggs yesterday, but the sausage meat fell off, no idea why. Anyway, sausages and mash tonight.
That's all for now, have a good day everyone, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.

What a numpty I am!
Pool timetable changed for the school holidays so it's now 'family fun' time. My friend and I headed to the cafe and sat and blethered for an hour instead.

@-taff - Thanks, I know where you're coming from! Given there is a history of heart disease on my DM's side of the family and that DS was diagnosed with AF last year, I'm being very mindful. So far, just heartburn. I've also thought it may be delayed stress after DH's passing although I think I'm coping well. Providing nothing else rears its head, I'll mention it when I have my annual health check in a few weeks.
@Izzy - Best wishes to your NDN and her hubby, she'll be glad of any help you can give. DS was a godsend when I was in that situation last year.
@remmie - Likewise for your Mrs ND, it's kind of you to offer her DH lifts.
@Gers - Love the word "blethered".
The missing item has been delivered as promised - excellent customer service.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Hi everyone,
I've not been posting for a while. I've been busy and also been feeling down since the family completed on the Bristol house. I know lots of people have it worse than me but they have lived with us for three years now (and before then intermittently during lockdowns. Esther has never lived anywhere else and Esben has spent most of his life here. Logically he knows they are moving but I don't think he really knows what that means, he thought Steve and I would go as well! I thought I was coping quite well but then Brian started talking about a house Laura wanted to look at round the corner and he refused to look, after it was too late he started saying he'd looked ta it and how nice it was, maybe he was trying to wind me up and he certainly succeeded.
Anyway, they will not be going till August so I must make the most of them and we will visit often and we have Nate not too far away. I am starting to plan some re-painting and re-flooring for when they have gone. They have gone off to Wales for Easter so I have sorted the living room and taken the throws off the pale blue sofa, it will see the light of day until the children and dog return.
I've been reading along, dp1, what a shock for DD, I'm glad LO seems to have bounced back. Ruby, I'm glad Rob has you. Mehefin, I hope you've sorted out your problems with the Council.
Have a good day.9 -
Snoozer - sorry to hear about the move and the insensitive comment made that upset you. It will be hard especially as the children have been with you so long. My brother lives on the outskirts of Bristol, such a nice place to visit.
Still reading along, shoulder pain is getting less, not allowed to do any lifting yet. Trying to do everything left handed is quite difficult.8
