Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's fine today, yesterday was grey, no rain though.
Not much going on today, nothing planned anyway.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.12 -
Morning all
Looks to be another nice day although it’s still chilly with a strong wind which is great for getting the washing dry but I do wish it would drop.
I took Rob to the Dr yesterday and they have prescribed him some more stuff including a fungal shampoo which should run down over the body while he is being showered, hopefully it will help, we are staying off of the cafe until it’s cleared up so we will have a day at home today and do some bits here and get the dogs out for a good walk. I can’t remember who asked but yes the home should have sorted him a Drs appointment but they said to me they were waiting for the manager to get back from days off to sort it 🙄 they are lovely but there seems to be no sense of urgency about them.
Dinner tonight will be chicken and chorizo tray bake with mushrooms and peppers and baby new potatoes with paprika and lemon juice I made it yesterday so it’s been marinating all night in the fridge so should be tasty.
I will go on a washing hunt after this I seem to have done so much washing while the weather has been good even the dog beds and blankets have been done, I’m sure I can find something more to put in.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning again. Even though the sky is bright the air is still chilled. I'm wearing layers again. I have nothing which needs washing apart from yesterday's underwear and socks. Yes, I've ditched the woolly tights at last.@Ruby - well done on again going the extra mile for Rob.Yesterday I tackled a few financial tasks, closing accounts and moving monies around. It's now done so I can relax a bit more about it.This morning I have a return to take to the delivery office, then I'm going swimming with a friend who wants some tips and that's followed by my aqua class. I'll be all wrinkly by the end of it. The fridge is almost devoid of anything for lunch so I'll whisk up some eggs, shopping will have to wait until tomorrow. I bought some enormous eggs the other day at the Oyster Bar, they came from a farm in Dunoon, so I'm hoping that they are tasty too.Enough waffling... take care everyone, hugs to those who want or need them.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. The sun is shining and forecast to stay with us all day. Yesterday was a let down after all the beautiful days we have had. The sun was in hiding and the pesky wind was back. Walking down home from the bus stop in the afternoon was a chilly one battling the wind. All is calm today so an hour or two reading outside after lunch will be on the agenda again methinks.
It's the usual Thursday clean of the kitchen and bathroom this morning. I know how to live it up! I've also just made an online appointment for my Covid booster at Boots next week. Something to look forward to - not! But better safe than sorry.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone
It's chilly here this morning but hopefully we'll get the promised warm sunshine later. Yesterday the sun came out at 8pm, as forecast.
Little one rang last night to tell me how much fun she'd had at swimming, it's lovely to hear how happy she is when she's been able to join in with something.
This morning, it's Easter church. I'll get a taxi down with mam and then just go into work a bit earlier, there's photocopying needs doing for next term. Some ironing to do before I go out.
Right, I'll wish you all a good day.
Well done on your walk Coxy x10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
We are moving base today to another cottage just south of Bodmin. DH will drop us back to where we stopped yesterday and take our belongings to the new place. We are hoping for a shorter day of 8 miles today to Camelford. What’s been challenging is the unmarked/badly marked footpaths and bulls in field signs and having to backtrack!
@RedRuby1231 hope the new medication helps Rob xx
Have a good day everyone

Morning all, thanks @Gers for the start. The sun came out briefly yesterday and then disappeared so it ended up cloudy and quite chilly for the best part of the day. Today looks much better and we should get up to 18 deg; at the moment the sun is out and there's no wind at all.
The delivery of decorating supplies arrived and, when I checked the contents, found one item missing and an unwanted item in one of the boxes. I rang customer services and spoke to a lovely lady who has arranged for the missing item to be sent (I've had an email to say it's on its way) and the unwanted one to be taken away - it wasn't a substitute, more likely an error in the picking process at the warehouse.
Once I'd found a home for everything and put the packaging in the recycling bin, I didn't do much else, thanks to having heartburn. This has been coming and going for the last week or so, very unusual for me, so I'll be keeping a close eye on it. No idea why, nothing has changed in my routine but I hope it subsides soon - I'm not normally a "poorly" person and don't fancy a trip to the GP. Instead I spent most of the day doing cross stitch and reading. The current book is called Spandau Phoenix by Greg Isles, fiction interwoven with fact, and promises to be a cracking read. I didn't have the planned meal for tea either and settled for a tin of beef & veg soup instead.
Nothing definite planned for today, I'll just go with the flow. Tea may or may not be what I'd planned for yesterday, we'll see.
Enjoy your day and the sunshine while it's here. As usual, hugs where needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Morning all! Not sunny today boo! But I will be going to the allotment to do some work on the fruit cage, which is mostly raspberries, and to be fair, I'm not that fussed on them, so I'm trying to extend the cage to cover the blackcurrant, gooseberries and redcurrants which I do have time for. Off to OHs mums for tea tonight too, might try and make a rice pudding to take over there, there's loads of milk at the moment. I have finally installed the new tv which smaller than the old one but the picture is much better. This forum is much sharper for one so I can read it more easily.Ruby, well done for sorting him out again. Any news about his mum? Coxy, well done you and your friend! Gers, I was watching that programme about the two youngsters doing up a house in Dunoon, really interesting and they did really well. Yorkslass, not being a worrywort but if you get any pain your arm, shoulder or jaw, you go to A&E straghtaway. Weenancy, hope everything goes OK...remmie, hope your neighbour is doing better too. Nanny, you keep resting, it's good for you. Right, I'm off for breakfast and to do some stuff...take care all, including poodles.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

Hello everyone, another sunny day ahead but it's going downhill over the weekend apparently. I'm reading too, a story about female munitions factory workers during the war and I hope to read outside this afternoon again to soak up some more sun before it disappears.
Today will be an admin day as there is a bill to pay, my driving licence to re-apply for, money to swap between banks and I need to sort my food stores then organise an online sm shop. We've both received money from our building society too which is a very nice bonus. I'm also waiting for a couple of deliveries to arrive.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly, worried or struggling ones.
