Royal Mail Shares now IDS

I have received some post today about these shares using their new name.

I am being asked to vote/agree to something but it's as clear as mud what that is.

Has anyone else had this?  If so, can you tell me please :-

Am I being asked to agree to the transfer of my shares to the new company?

OR

Are they asking me to sell my shares to the new company?

I couldn't see any mention of how much each share is worth and I do realise the price will vary day to day but if they want to buy them off me a clue would have been helpful!

There's a long thread about this. It's a takeover situation. If you don't agree to the purchase offer and IIRC >75% but <90% agree you might end up owning shares in a private company. If >90% of voted shares agree your shares will be compulsorily purchased. The price must be in there; it's 370p including a dividend. Looks like it was trading in London today at 365p per share. Another option is to sell them into the market.

No, what’s happening today is still related to the same event. It just took a while to obtain the required regulatory clearances.

The recent letters were an attempt to mop up the shareholders who hadn’t tendered their shares. Did you tender your shares?
