Interested to see what happens tomorrow. Tariffs on China have gone even higher but there is a 90 day delay to many of the tariffs on other countries (the ones he said were kissing his a***& !)

If the S&P500 is anything to go by things will be rosy tomorrow. Though probably nervousness will return very soon. Apple is included in the risers, what's an iPhone going to cost in the US now?2

A big bounce, then settle back a little is my guess. I think the Trump's stand off with China will be settled soon too, with a joint stand down to save face. Causing serious financial harm to your own voters, is something even Trump can't ignore.boingy said:Interested to see what happens tomorrow. China can still engage in a financial war. No one has apologised for Vance's comments. No one trust's this administration.jimexbox said:

I was going to shove it all in immediately.InvesterJones said:WindfallWendy said:I've taken £20k out of my premium bonds with a view to shoving it in my S&S ISA.... But thinking I might do a bit this week, a bit next month and maybe a third bit another time... Rather than shoving it all in now.
Thoughts?

I can't imagine the bond markets are overly happy about having such a volitile person at the helm. I doubt the latest U-turn will last very long, but who knows!"For every complicated problem, there is always a simple, wrong answer"1 -

Wish I'd done it last night. Stupid media coverage making me think stuff and pause for thought.0 -
Personally after more than 40 years of investing I think that trying to time the market is a mugs game.
Holding cash and waiting for a fall in the market to move it into equities simply doesn't really work as a strategy in my view (although as with anything else you might get lucky of course).
Buying the 'dip' (and by extension selling the 'peak') is for the birds.
