Parkhaven and Dcb judgement

I’ll make this as brief as I can. Brother in law is disabled after a stroke and my sis drove him to town earlier this year in his mobility car. Parked in a small shopping centre and the barcode on the parking machine didn’t work so they chanced it and stayed about 20 mins.
A few months later and he received a fine of £120 for not paying an original £60 fine ( never received the original fine )
As his carer my sis rang the company and they said the original Letter was sent and they had a copy ( it appears this is their mo when in fact they never send the original fine ).

So she paid the £60 online. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and he received a ccj letter for £240.00. She called the Dcb number but it’s impossible to speak to anyone.
She didn’t do anything else ( I know!! She hates admin )
yesterday got a judgement from the court.
yesterday got a judgement from the court.
What’s the best way to deal with this. She tried to call the court this morning but nearly impossible to get through

I suspect that it wasnt a CCJ letter, but an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL, nota CCJ
Due to it not being dealt with correctly, it has now morphed into a default CCJ against the Defendant
Ringing people up won't change the circumstances or the current outcome, so nobody should be Ringing anyone up
You have done the correct thing by posting here for advice, although some of the information you gave us is incorrect, so I believe that my assessment is more correct3 -
Sounds like Park Maven.
I suspect the original charge was £100, discounted to £60 for early payment. Then they added the fake admin fee of £70, so in theory their court claim was for £110 + court costs.Although it sounds like they just bulldozed through and ignored your paid £60.Anyway, a lot of this is moot if you didn't defend the court claim that came in the post. You need to show us every piece of paperwork you have ever received about this (personal details removed) for starters...3 -
Oh no! Why would anyone not defend a 'scam' claim? No need to answer. Just a sad situation. It would have been so easy to defend.
If the Defendant qualifies for Help with Fees (and even if they don't) why not tell them to apply to set aside the CCJ, as seen in threads by posters such as @icy_fox
Alternatively, does a CCJ even matter to the Defendant? If they never need loans/credit then it's neither here nor there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The OP is trying to assist the OP and the disabled defendant, so the OP has received nothing, a stranger to the case
If the carer should have dealt with the paperwork, preferably with legal backing or authorisation, to be able to act on behalf of the actual defendant, it appears that they failed to deal with the claim In a correct and timely manner, hence the current default CCJ
Yes it will be Parkmaven, via DCB Legal
Phone calls wont solve this legal fubar mess1 -
She’s now paid it not sure how to close a thread0
