Car Warranty problems

Hi This is my first time posting on a forum.

September 2024 I bought a new second hand car (Honda Civic 2019 diesel) from a Dealership which I thought was quite reputable. All with this I bought warranty to be on the safe side.

Its been quite a nightmare these past few months as its been in and out of he garage for a reoccurring fault which the garage has spent ridiculous time trying to rssolve only to realise they had to send to the Main Honda Dealership cause they have got the capability.

A new fault appeared 2 weeks later which as I was still in my 6 months right to reject. I had multiple doscussion with Cititzen Advice and The Motor Ombudsman to come to this decision. I went through the process of rejection and they came back to say they are not accepting it as im outside my rejection period and that they are not repsinsable for the fault as It did not occur during the last tine it was there. The general manager wasn't helpful either.

Ive gone through my warranty company who have pointed me to a approved repairer which I have gone to and had my car diagnosed. The garage have said I have to go to the main honda dealership to repair as they don't have the tools to resolvebthe fault. Kindly they also waived my diagnostic fee.

My warranty doesnt cover the main Honda Dealership but in order to get in car repaired in line with the warrabty I need to go through loops to get Honda to obtain a authorised repair number.

The warranty are difficult to work with and telling me as the owner I have to foot the bill for any difference between the labour costs from autodate and Honda labour cost. As well as this they have also said if OEM part is used when an second hand could be Im charged the difference.

I've gone over my warranty with a fine tooth comb and no where does it say that me as a warranty holder has to pay the difference. It outlines theres a maximum labour cost but it doesn't tell me who is responsible to pay.

1) Being the Warranty approved garage couldn't fix the vehicle. Should the warranty cover the whole cost when repaired by Honda?

2) Have I been sold a warranty which seems Duff?

Many thanks
