Hi @Rosa_Damascena, the pantry is one end of the utility room, which also contains a toilet, a sink, two washing machines and an industrial size tumble drier. The kitchen has thirty cupboards too. BIG house, but there are 7 of us living here. If you sign up for the farmfoods email, they send a link to the vouchers to download. These were the first paper coupons I've had in months, and the lad on the till was surprised to see them. Said he's not seen any in a while.

    Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xx

Ive just restocked on porridge - i bought a load from Asda a couple of months ago at 90p a kilo bag but its gone up to 99p.
I just noticed it was on offer at Lidl for 89p today so got a load more.

Ive also stocked up on the Farmfoods tin tomatoes which have been mentioned in the previous posts (3 tins for £1, what a bargain). And they don't require a tin opener

Lidl is selling 3kg packs of dried spaghetti for something like £3.50, might be helpful if pasta is a store cupboard essential?

Hi, @Rosa_Damascena, thanks. Is that wholemeal, do you know? We only have wholemeal pasta and spaghetti, OH has type 2 diabetes. Have quite a lot in at the moment. May be useful to others too. Hugs, mumtoomany.xx

I am pretty sure it is the bog standard stuff.

There is growing interest in resistant starch- pasta is type 3: https://t1dexchange.org/resistant-starch-can-it-be-used-to-transform-blood-glucose-management-and-improve-health/ . I've started making pasta again after a hiatus of years, dressing it and leaving it in the fridge. Its easy to eat cold in small doses with salad and does appear to be filling.
