Questions
1. when do I need to register for self assessment ? Is it after a full year of trade now I.e after next April 2026? Register by October 5th and then submit?

Many thanks

There is no harm in registering for it now, having started in the 25/26 year you're obliged to register late 2026 (can't remember the date off hand) and the first return due by end Jan 20272

I agree with the above, there's no reason you can't do it now. Check the details and what you need to do with HMRC, they're friendly enough..0
