Redundancy - No P45

Options
I was made redundant in May '24 when the company at which I worked went in to voluntary insolvency.  I have received the redundancy payment however I was not issued a P45.

I am now a company director of a limited company and my accountants are asking for my P45 to submit as part of my Self Assessment Tax Return, due to be submitted in June.  My ex-previous employers accountant and the company dealing with the insolvency are saying they are not responsible for issuing the P45.

I would love some advice on what to do - can I just complete a P46 myself?

If your accountant wants your pay and tax details up to May 24 these amounts will be shown on your Personal Tax Account in the Government Gateway.

P46  is no longer used.  It is now a new starter check list which you can download from Gov. UK.

Your final payslip from that employer should also be acceptable

As the above posters have said. However, surely your accountant should know this!
